Barn-ey

Ok, I seem to be stuck on barns now.  Thats ok.  Barns make a great thing to paint.  I am trying to work on letting colors mix on the paper, and on scratching in tree trunks, or highlights from branches.  I think i hit the mark on the first, and missed on the second.  Well, at any rate there are some good things about his little picture.  I still think I am gonna go back and paint in a horse or cow or two onto this painting, but in general, I'm satisfied with it.

fluffy bunny

This one was a bit hard.  How to convey grass and flowers close up, how to do it in the background and how to keep the bunny bright and the focal point.   I think I got the bunny good enough, I think i got the foreground flowers good enough, I only wish i could figure out how to do the background a little better.  Tried to make it a bit darker to set it off, maybe that wasn't the best idea.  Hmmm, have to think about this one for a minute.

Mailbox and Barn

Ok, so I've been working on barns lately.  They are nice because they are big structures with some angled roofs, and if you don't get the proportions right, or the lines straight, it doesn't matter.  Your mind says, Hey its a barn, it could be that way.  Well I decided to incorporate a mailbos into this one.  Also, I tried to do a little scratching in of weeds in the foreground.  I think I'll revisit this one at a later date, but for now, I think its a good start.

Barn 2

Here is another barn.  Similar to the last one, but just a bit different.  I think I like this one better.  Or maybe it is that I just like the pine trees better.  Well, at any rate, this is the next iteration of the barn.  Enjoy.
