Dorn's The Original Breakers Cafe

Well, I do like painting the things around where I live.  Here is another painting of Dorn's.  It is a restaurant in Morro Bay.  The views from the street side are not all that great, but from the water side, you get Morro Rock, the sand spit and the Pacific Ocean.  I've done other paintings of Dorn's and i thought they turned out ok, but this one I think turned out even better.  I used two colors of blue in the sky, but unless I am painting storms, I don't think I'll do that again.  I've used yellow, and red in the sky a long with one color of blue, and I think it adds more than a second color of blue does.

I think the shadows coming off the pots in the front of the building really work well.  They do set the depth for the rest of the painting.  I had fun painting this, hope you have fun viewing it.
